The turkey is yours. Everything else is on the list: mashed potatoes, stuffing, rolls, three kinds of pie. Share the link and watch the gaps fill in.

Why Thanksgiving needs a list more than other potlucks
Thanksgiving is the one potluck where everyone brings the same five dishes if nobody is keeping score. Without a list you end up with four green bean casseroles and no cranberry sauce. A sign-up sheet with a quantity on each line fixes that: two mashed potato slots, two stuffing slots, one sweet potato slot, and when a slot is gone it is gone.
The starting list assumes you cook the turkey, which is the usual arrangement. If a guest is smoking it or frying it, rename the first line. If the table is vegetarian, delete the ham line and add a main of your own.
What is on the thanksgiving starting list
The Thanksgiving list is sized for roughly twelve to sixteen guests and leaves the turkey to the host. Quantities are the number of dishes, not the number of servings.

Tips for a smoother Thanksgiving potluck
Send the link about two weeks ahead, once people know their travel plans. Reheating is the real bottleneck on the day, so ask guests who bring hot sides to say whether the dish needs the oven, the stove or a slow cooker, and put that in the dish name: “Green bean casserole (needs oven)”.
Ask for pie early. Dessert slots disappear first, and the dinner-roll slot is the one that gets forgotten. Lock the sheet two days before so the numbers stop changing while you shop.
Questions
How many dishes should I ask for at Thanksgiving?
A common rule is one dish for every two to three guests, spread across sides, desserts and drinks, with the host cooking the main. For twelve guests that is five or six dishes plus pies. The starting list has more lines than that so you can delete the ones you do not need.
Can I add a gluten-free or vegan option?
Yes. Add a line such as “Vegan main” and guests can tag their dish as vegan or gluten-free when they sign up. The tag shows next to the dish on the shared list.
What stops two people from bringing the same dish?
Each item has a number needed, like “Pie x3”. Every sign-up uses up one. When the last one is taken the button disappears and the item reads “All claimed”. If two guests tap at the same moment, the server accepts one of them and tells the other to pick something else.
How do I change the sheet after I share it?
Open the host link, the one that ends in ?k= followed by a long key. It shows the same page with editing tools: change the details, add or rename items, remove a sign-up, lock the sheet or delete it. The key is the only way in, so bookmark it. This browser also keeps a copy under “My sheets” on the home page.
Is the potluck sign up sheet free?
Yes. A free sheet takes up to 20 sign-ups and 25 items, needs no account, and stays online until 30 days after the event. The Event Pass ($4.99, one time) lifts those limits for a bigger gathering.
